PRODUCT MANAGER - TRAINING PROGRAM

The Product Manager for the ECS eclipse training program will be responsible for development, implementation and operational management of our training products.  Our training products and services consist of both web based and hands-on classroom training.  The Product Manager will be responsible for a product line as a business unit within our eclipse division which specializes in fuel system compliance services.  This interesting, multi-dimensional position is both strategic and tactical.  From building products from existing ideas to developing new ideas based on regulatory drivers, as well as reaching out to industry to gain experience and understanding from customers and prospective customers. Business development and obtaining new opportunities will be a key element to the position.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyze product market potential, product positioning, key benefits, target customers and potential partner relationships;
• Define the product offering by specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research;
• Develop, implement and execute a company-wide marketing plan working with all departments (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning;
• Serve as the internal and external product promoter;
• Review and assess the quality and quantity of training programs and materials offered;

• Forecast and manage the business unit revenues and budget, increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the division;

Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, the ability to see a big-picture vision and make that vision a reality.  Analytical skills with the ability to summarize data from various sources into a concise format that can easily be expanded and communicated to support a particular initiative is required.  Demonstrated experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously is a must.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential along with the ability to work well with technical and operational team members.   3+ years of software, marketing, product management and training experience is a plus.  A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science or other related business degree is a plus as well.
